Research & Development: The company specialises in most lens conversions adapting one manufacturer’s mountings to another, or in the case of Canon converting FD mount to the new EOS Mount. This is done through precision engineering, which takes into account all the measurements necessary to allow differing manufacturers lenses to be successfully mounted onto another manufacturers Camera. This involves some of the most complex measurements, physics and mathematics to obtain and keep lenses performing to their highest possible capabilities. All critical dimensions and dynamics are calculated and built into all our mountings across a wide range of manufacturers. Although our most common developments and achievements, are to allow many manufacturers original mounts to operate on Canon DSLR’s. We also convert similar lenses for Nikon, Tamron, Tokina , Olympus and many more.
We have now developed all FD lens conversions to fit the EOS range of Cameras, without the need for any corrective glass in the conversion, thus allowing 100% subject transmission on every FD lens we convert. We are continuing our structured development to allow any FD converted lens to operate on all Canon Cameras including Full Frames. It is very frustrating to see customers trying various FD converted lenses and then hit the Full Frame reflex mirror. From this point of view
we have now successfully achieved the FD Conversion of the 85mm F1.2L to operate on all full frames, this is also been achieved on the 50mm F1.2L, the 35mm F2, the 24mm f1.4L and many more… This is a major breakthrough which was always conceived to be impossible to be done ….
